Are Florida Hair Salons Reopening?
It’s been a long quarantine for all Americans. Many of us did not have access to businesses and services for the past several months. The good news is, the state of Florida is undergoing Phases 1 and Phases 2 of reopening its doors. On May 11, many Florida hair salons are in the process of reopening.
“This is a virus that, if you’re in good shape, you’re probably going to be OK. So, why would we want to dissuade people from going to be in shape?” – DeSantis said during a news conference in Doral.
The Phase 1 and Phase 2 plan to reopen Florida is underway. Hair salons, nail salons, and barbers can reopen, but they must follow safety protocols.
Safety Protocols for Vinaccia Hair Goddess in Winter Park, FL
Since Vinaccia Hair Goddess is going to be reopening, we need to follow safety protocols according to law. According to social distancing laws, Jenn can only see one person at a time and take only so many clients per day. There is no double booking allowed at this time. Your health and safety is a priority at Vinaccia Hair Goddess. In between appointments, Jenn will be disinfecting the salon to ensure the highest level of cleanliness. Phenix Salon Suites also has its own staff to sanitize the building and restrooms several times a day.
Here are a few protocols that all Vinaccia Hair Goddess clients need to follow:
- Check your temperature – prior to visiting the salon, you MUST take your temperature. The average temperature for the human body is 6°F (37°C). If you are exceeding this temperature, please stay home. Jenn will also be taking her temperature on the day of your appointment.
- Wear a Mask – It is recommended by the CDC that you wear a face mask or cloth face covering while you are out in public. Even if you do not show symptoms, you could potentially spread COVID-19 to others. Jenn is requiring all of her clients to use face coverings during their appointment.
- Stay In Your Car Until Your Appointment – When you arrive to your appointment, you will be required to stay in your car. You will receive a text from Jenn when she is ready for you.
- Wash Your Hands – Before your appointment, you will be required to wash your hands in the bathroom outside of Jenn’s new salon space (Suite 117 in Phenix Salon Suites)
Appointments with Vinaccia Hair Goddess
With the surge of the reopening, Vinaccia Hair Goddess will be booked up for a while. Jenn has blocked off online booking until the end of June so that she can schedule everyone by need. Those who get color or are short haircuts and haven’t been seen the longest will be booked first. Highlight and Balayage clients will be booked after that. If you usually get color and highlights, you’ll only be able to book Color + Mini Highlight which will be the quickest way to get you by. If you want more highlights, she will book you for it separately a couple of weeks later. She will let you know via email when she will start personally scheduling appointments.
Color Kits Are Available for Colored Hair and Grey Hair Regrowth
Jenn is selling Color Kits for those who use hair color to lighten or cover grey. These color kits are $25 (plus tax) and are for regrowth. The color kits include your custom blended color-formula, gloves, and a color brush for application. It will tide you over until your next appointment with Jenn.
